Yaxha

Yaxhá, a Mayan site fom the Classic Period, is LOCATED between the laKes of Sacnab and Yaxhá. Opposite YAXHA is the site of Topoxté, a major post Classic site.

Yaxha includes several complexes, ancient ball courts and pyramids all connected by paved routes.

The NATIONAL Park "Yaxhá-Nakum-Naranjo" is considered one of the best kept secrets of the Mayan World. The park includes a total area of 37.160 hectares and IS part of the Reserve of the Mayan Biosphere. It borders the Tikal National Park.
